teddies!

Parsley is my very beloved first teddy, and I hold her nearest and dearest to my heart. She’s been through a lot, including surviving being cut open by my older sister (there used to be a rattle inside), left at the park for a couple hours and got rained on, snatched up by our dog and ran around the neighborhood.. it goes on. She’s had lots of lil (mis)adventures, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Parsley has been by my side in every stage of my life & I'm beyond thankful that she's still here with me.
Fun fact: she’s bigender! When I used to play with her in scenerios when I was a kid I would make her either a girl or a boy, for no reason other than what felt right at the time. I didn't have the words for it but it made perfect sense to me even back then.

2021 is the year I found Clover, a perfect duplicate of Parsley, after years and years of searching. I would constantly have dreams of finding one. I saved the search keywords on eBay and got emails whenever a new listing showed up for pastel teddy bears made of terry cloth with rattles, but none of them would be right. There were near matches, but I really wanted one with the exact colors. I was starting to give up, until on evening it happened!!!!

When it got to me and I put the two of them together I cried for so long :’) Seeing them side by side, the physical differnces due to the years of play

Scoot is a Doodle Bear that i bought in 2016! She came from eBay, I was actually looking for a blue one as a duplicate of one we had as kids (his name was Blue Man), but saw a listing for a purple one and bought it immediately. Scoot is a huge comfort for me because when I got her, I was going though a difficult time in my life. She brought me a lot of peace. I sleep with her every single night, and I like to put dryer sheets in her pocket so she smells good whenever I cuddle with her.

Today she mainly wears this flower dress that belongs to Bonnie (shown below) I like it on her because it matches with the flowers on her!

Bonnie Baba Camillia or just Bonnie was a surprise birthday gift from my awesome irl buddy!! She's my darling sweet baby and I love her so much! Most of her wardrobe is actually clothes that I bought previously for Scoot, but ofcourse they never fit her quite right.

I had gotten more confident being out in public with a plushie with Bonnie. I have a shoulder bag that she can sit comfortably in if I choose to bring her out. It's freeing to not have to hide my interests just because I'm an adult. Besides, who wouldn't wanna see this cute lil' face??
